The MCBA Spring Sale is slated for April 28, 2012 in Columbia, MO.  Contact Greg Hubert for more information.

A big change for this year’s spring MCBA State Sale.  The sale committee has moved the sale date to Saturday, April 28, 2012 and moved the location to Sho-Me Shorthorns facility, just outside of Columbia, Missouri.  Look up their website for pictures.  These changes were implemented to help both our buyers and sellers to a more convenient time of the year, allow more un-haltered quality consignments and help get more buyers to attend.

We will again feature many outstanding open show heifer prospects, both spring and fall 2011 born, but would also like to feature several top-notch spring born cow/calf pairs!  If you bring sound, functional, good-uddered pairs they will be in demand.  I would also like some fall cow/calf splits and a few bred fall calving heifers or young cows.  We could also offer a couple of really good herdsire prospects, but they need to be exceptional and halter broke.

I will not be coming around to screen cattle, but if you’d like to discuss your possible consignments, please give me a call.  You have plenty of time to get great pictures for the ads and the catalog.

The deadline for all ad’s and catalog information has been set for February 25, 2012.  That will allow us to use the best pictures for the ads in the April issues.  The nomination fee is $100 per head which will be applied toward commission when you sell.  We have had some great sales this fall, especially in Missouri, let’s all pull together as an association and make this sale another successful event.
